Extension Lecture by Sh. Om Parksh Gaso

| Along with the formal education the extra co-curricular activities
were also important for the all-round development of the students. For
this an extension lecture was organized on 06/02/12 by Baba Farid
Collge of Education on "Role of Literature in Language Teaching" by
Sh. Om Parkash Gaso renowned novelist. Firstly Vice-Principal
S.Kulwinder Singh formally welcome to the chief guest. Sh. Gaso in
his speech laid emphasis on the literature and the knowledge of
various languages for the teachers and for the would be teachers.
Students also asks question from Sh.Om Parkash Gaso to which he
replied in very depth. Principal Dr. Naib Singh gave vote of thanks
and alongwith the staff members gave token of respect. Ms. Pawandeep
kaur Sidhu conducted stage. M.D BFGI S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal said
that literature is vital part of our life without it teacher can't
built the healthy society. |
National Voter Day Observed

| NSS Unit of Baba Farid College of Education observed National Voters Day on 25/01/2012 under the leadership of Prof. Kulwinder Singh. College Principal Dr. Naib Singh while interacting with students said that Vote of an individual is important and it should be casted with outmost care and to strengthen the democracy in India we have to use our franchise. We have also to aware other people regarding the importance of vote. Poster and slogan making competition was also organized between students. In the competition Gurwinder Singh got first prize, Kiranpal stood second and Kamalpreet get third position respectively. At the end Prof. Kulwinder Singh thanked Principal Dr. Naib Singh. BFGI M.D S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal said that to make the democracy a success we have to observe such National days. |
Extension Lecture by Dr. Kulwinder Singh

| To aware students about the developments in education an extension lecture was organized by Baba Farid College of Education on 24/01/2012. Dr. Kulwinder Singh was specially invited for the lecture on “Developments in Educational System of India in Current Era”. BFCE Vice Principal S. Kulwinder Singh welcome Dr. Kulwinder Singh. Dr. Singh touched the sensitive issues of Education and the role of media and technology in the present Era. He also aware the pupil-teacher about the role and need of the teacher in developing the various teaching skills according to the need of child and discusses the role of Politics and Economy in the Educational framework as well as role of democratic values in our educational system. At the end Principal Dr. Naib Singh thanked Dr. Kulwinder Singh. Prof. Jagjit Singh Conducted the stage. BFGI M.D S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal said that the interaction of students with the eminent scholars should be organized from time to time so that they may know about their changing role as a teacher in the present era. |
One Day NSS Camp Organized

| Baba Farid College of Education Organized One Day NSS Camp at Govt.Senior Secondary School, Village –Gobindpura on 20/01/12 in which students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The volunteers actively took part for cleaning and white –wash of the campus. At the end volunteers presented cultural items and enjoyed refreshment.Principal Dr.Naib Singh congratulated camp Incharge S.Kulwinder Singh along with students and staff members S. Jagjit Singh, Ms. Nirmaljit Kaur and S. Harwinder Singh on the success of camp. |
Live Green

| BFGI has started a movement LIVE GREEN: step towards better living. To promote the awareness regarding environment and tree plantation a quiz competition was organized between school children and after it students took part for tree plantation. . Mr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Managing Director, BFGI said that the BFGI understands the responsibility toward society and it enlightens not only its students but the whole society for healthy environment. |
